The year Gerald Gardner claims he was initiated by Old Dorothy into a practising coven of the Old Religion, that met in the New Forest area of Britain.

A second Druidic College of Gaul established by Paul Bouchet (Bod Koad), independent of the earlier groups and not recognized by them.

"The White Goddess", by Robert Graves, which is still a standard reference book on any British Wiccan's bookshelf, was published.

"High Magicks Aid," written by Gerald Gardner, is published.

The Great Oak Forest Celtic College of Broceliande founded by Goff ar Steredennou.

England repealed its last Witchcraft Laws and replaced them with the Fraudulent Mediums Act.

"Illustrated" magazine published a feature by Allen Andrews, which included details of a working by, "the Southern Coven of British Witches", where 17 men and women met in the New Forest to repel an invasion by Hitler.

The Great Oak Order re-established in France by Mic Goban, claiming descent from the ancient 'Order of Gawre.'

1963

The Carleton Grove of the Reformed Druids of North America founded.

1964

Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids founded by Ross Nichols (Nuinn) after a schism within the Druid Order.

1972

Asatru is officially recognised as a religion by the government of Iceland.

1975

The Philosophical Brotherhood of Druids founded in Brittany by Coaver Kalondan after a schism with the Breton gorsedd.

1976

A Universal Fraternity of Druids established in France, independently of the earlier groups. They are the first modern group to be lead by a female Druid.

Druid Order of Avernia founded in the Auvergne region of Gaul.

The British Druid Order founded by Phillip Shallcrass.

1982

Oaled Drwized Kornog (Hearth of the Western Druids) founded in Brittany by Goff ar Steredennou.

Ar nDraiocht Fein (A Druid Fellowship) founded in the U.S.A.

1985

Witchcraft is recognized in the United States. Dettmer v. Landon: the District Court of Virginia pursuant to rule 52 (a) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, ruled that Witchcraft falls within a recognizable religious category and therefore is protected by the Constitution.

1988

École Druidique des Gaules founded by the Allobragmatos, Boduogmatos and Catuvolus.

The Lycian Tradition of Wicca is founded.

Cornardiia Druvidiacta Aremorica (Druid Brotherhood of Armorica) founded in Brittany after a split with the Kredenn Gieltiek.

1992

The Druid Clan of Dana established in Ireland. It is founded on the work of the Fellowship of Isis, established in 1976 by Rev. Lawrence Durdin-Robertson, Pamela Durdin-Robertson and the Hon. Olivia Robertson.

A further split in the Cornardia Druvidiacta Aremorica results in the founding of the Armorican Brotherhood of the Sacred Law.

The Druidic Federation of Gaul founded by Pierre de la Crau out of the Druidic Church of Gaul and the Green Druidic Order of Ronan ap Lugh.

The Insular Order of Druids founded at Stonehenge by Dylan ap Thuinn.
